as you might know or notice i havent added much to the site in quite a long time.
for various reasons, the most prominent being my 4th year movie which i will now present
some tests :)

after experiancing one of the hardest training in the miluim i thought of a new
character, a ninja serving in the miluim.
why is that, well everyone there just looks like a ninja. we wear camouflage and in the
winter we also wear black winter hats, gloves and other peripherals that only keep our
eyes visible (most of the times).

I cant believe Obama won the nobel peace prize.
I mean i have nothing against the guy, but he didnt do anything.
If having a plan for peace means youll get the nobel peace prize + 1.4 million dollars then every
5th person in the world should get it.

as a 5th person, i would like to suggest that people just stop fighting over silly things.
now all i have to do is wait for my prize and money.

the site will be moving to a new server this weekend, so expect difficulties connecting.

working on- rendering movie, building a tree and making it die on purpose, teaching little kids how to draw comics, sketching people on the street.

sleeping through- summer class about photography, night, morning, small part of noon.

the transwarp factor

what i like to call the transwarp factor is a line in the sand when it comes to technology.
there comes a point where technology surpasses itself to a point where things arent hard but rather very easy.

what this means in the star trek universe is that you dont need 40 minutes per episode when you could just throw a transwarp torpedo at the borg and defeat them.
you just dont get the emotion, the feel and the evolution of the story.

this flaw has been at the core of star trek from the very beginning, it was addresed in the early star trek movies by making sure that the enterprise was allways under construction, or didnt have the right staff or that it was supposed to be installed on thursday.
even a warp ddrive called transwarp which is, i guess a lot faster than normal warp was created only to be sabotaged.

now this comic is basically about the new star trek movie -spoiler- where kirk teleports to the enterprise using "transwarp" a teleporter that can teleport through warp. now kirk is about 5 billion km from the enterprise and they dont really know where the enterprise is, but apperantly it works. -spoiler-

so now that we have this amazing tech, why should we even continue exploring with starships. we could just beam people to other planets.
we can beam a nuke to an alien planet and wipe it out before it even knew we were at war with it.

well the big secret is.. my birthday, which is today which is the same day that the new star trek movie is coming out( disregarding the early showing).

i may have not been able to do a comic a day for a month, which is very hard, but i did do enough. now i hope to get back to 1 or maybe 2 strips a week.

well i can try, i was in class and i had to make up a story, so i made a story about a corn cop that gets raped in jail and the teacher asked me how do you rape corn.. so i said of the top of my head - "between every kernel theres an anus".

how will i ever find my way out of this. both main characters dead and the ship run by red shirts.

march 8th will herald a marathon of comic strips every day for 30 days, i hope..
a surprise revalation will end this marathon on may 8th. so come by daily for update and clues to the secret (just like "lost", but with star trek).

i bought "wow the art of the trading game" which is an amazing book and i fully recommend it to aspiring artists and fans.

the new semester started this week, ive got a little more time to myself these past few months.
hopefully i will be able to work harder on publishing more strips.

expect something big in April to continue on to May.

odd thing that happened to me, i opened the scene files for the characters and found that they were oddly dissfigured.
just something that happens sometimes in 3d, everything get screwed and you need to start over.

so i`m updating..

i find it very difficult to start working on my computor these days, what with a war going on around me, the semester coming to a close, my computor slowlly showing signs of death and myself being very lazy.

i do have some comic ideas and i hope to work on them before i forget them completely.

the comic this week is basically about my odd behaviour after watching movies and such.
i get the urge to act out the movie, the worst parts are when i watch an action movie with fighting.
there is a documented case in the 80`s right after the release of teenaged mutant ninja turtles, the movie. i wont get into it, lets just say the casualty list is very long.

apperantly there is a new law that forbides spam mail. i know of this law because all the spammers sent me a mention about it.
where are we in our existance when the bad people ( spammers) dare send me a spam message about the law thats supposed to be against spam.
the law itself says that you recieve a fine if you send spam. i personally would think you would recieve a public and gruesome execution for sending a spam.

the state of spam never ceases to amaze me, i get spam that has no content what so ever, i can understand advertising spam, but spam with out any purpose is like going to a farm and not tipping a cow.

ive been lazy as hell. i havent updated my comic as i would have wanted to.
i could say its because of school, the gym ,my computer slowly dying, but mostly its because i cant get up and
do something , anything at all. that .. and world of warcraft..

yes, im playing WOW now. im ashamed of myself to levels you wouldnt even understand.

i have horns, thats something you should know about me. they grow out every night and show the world who i really am. i am actually the devil, or a cudly cat. which ever shows more evil intent. i prefer the devil, but you know how cats are- evil...
its a syndrome which the experts call the "pillow hair effect".

ive wanted to insert myself into the comic for a while now, but i didnt know if i can insert a normal nerd into a star trek based comic. in the end i decided to put me in it , well because i already had the picture and i love saying i have devil/cat horns/ears.

i dont know JJ Abrams.

i saw the new star trek trailer .. part of me screamed in fright while the other part said "ill give this a chance".

the only thing that looks like star trek in this movie is the names and the silhouette of the enterprise.

some people have been saying to me that ensign. pennyworth`s design is bad and doesnt fit the style. all i say in return is - "i like him, and he stays".

when i start a comic i usually have a vauge idea, maybe a catch phrase that guide me through the process. basiclly i would rather have a well thought script and layout sketches or storyboards, but most of the times a vauge idea works.
unfortunatlly sometimes, the vauge idea gets chucked halfway through the making of the comic and i redesign the comic wo another concept, as the case in this weeks comic.

i started the comic with the idea of introducing the wonderful "world of goo", which is a free game. and what a game it is, in the past several years there hasnt been many breakthrough games out in the market, only shooters and brawlers which are cheap to make and give a simple and fast piece of enjoyment to gamers.
WOG gives out an experiance that youve actually done something, you solved a puzzle, you built a tall structure, you got sucked through a tube and blew up some goo..
it actually makes you think. think about stuff like physics, balance, goo politics. all the things we were supposed to learn in highschool.

the design and art of the game are majistically simplistic and charming, you cant not love the cute little goo-balls that want to reach a higher place, or cross a great ravine.
the music pulls you into the game and makes you feel as though you are a goo-ball, maybe a pinkish fuzzy one that eats junk food.

but then the comic turned out to be about goo-balls doing it

over acting

one thing i love about william shatner is the over-acting, it simply makes every charachter he protrays a living memory.

there are various moments in the trek-verse where captain kirk did something that became a classic moment, for example when kirk found out his son was killed or the time kirk threw a rock at the lizard man.

another moment of over-acting can be seen in "the godfather", when sonny dies in the tollbooth from "multiple" gun shot wounds, the way he flails about is simply brilliant.

one of my favorite webcomics is penny arcade and as such ifeel like i should
honor them with a rip off of one of their comics.
this is one of my favorite strips they created, only to see gabe try to blow up
tychos head is hillarious.

im introducing a new char here which is a vulcan first officer whose name eludes me
at this time. it seemed obvious to make a vulcan hate someone to death..

iv`e ended this ensign. pennyworth logs arc, for now.
but dont worry he`s o.k (poor ensign. Charcoal..), he`l be back on the bridge
as soon as i`ll think of a new way to use him.

next week i`ll be going back to school. ive got a summer class i need to finish inorder
to get my degree. ill think of a way to add some sort of valiant art, perhaps another drawing.

ive been using my site`s traffic report, and as it seems people ARE actually visiting this site.
i am so very happy.
